Motion Graphics

This past fall of 2025 I took a class called Motion Graphics which taught me a solid foundation of how to work within Adobe After Effects to create different types of animations through objects and type. It was a bit overwhelming at first as the layout is a bit different from that of Illustrator, InDesign, or photoshop, but now I feel pretty comfortable bringing my ideas to life with this program.

4x4 Looping

Animations

This was a fun assignment we had during my Motion Graphics class. The looping animation was made entirely in Adobe After Effects and taught me many different uses of tools and how to use them together to make some really engaging effects.

Kinetic Type

This assignment involved picking 45-60 seconds of a song, comedy bit, part of a movie scene, or any sort of spoken dialogue that we would then animate through type to reflect the content of our choice. I initially had a couple different idea, but eventually decided on the last minute of “If I Can Dream” by Elvis Presley. This song has a nice build up which was fun to animate to and I was definitely proud of how this one turned out.
